Emotions: Bath Women's Conference 2021 Online
EMOTIONS was the theme for the 2021 Bath Women’s Conference. Usually Bristol and Bath have parallel conferences in the spring, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, we were fully online this year.
The talks were available via YouTube on the morning of Saturday 20th March and participants gathered via Zoom or Facebook in ‘watch parties’ of which there were a good number across the south west and further afield.
We were delighted to welcome back speaker Helen Thorne, Director of Training and Resources at Biblical Counselling UK and an experienced counsellor, who had led a couple of seminars for the Bath 2018 conference. Helen spoke from the book of Habakkuk, with very timely reflections on how the 7th century BC prophet responded to the very challenging situation he faced and what insights we could glean from that. There were about 100 live viewings that morning, with some Zoom parties of up to 25 women, but also by individuals following on YouTube.
