Appointment of Assistant Minister for May 2024

St Bart’s is a warm, lively and outward looking Anglican conservative evangelical church based in the historic city of Bath. We are looking for a full-time Assistant Minister, not necessarily ordained, to join our supportive team, someone who is passionate about ‘growing individuals, growing the church and growing our impact for Jesus in the world’.

You will be a gifted Bible teacher with strong inter-personal skills, who will pastor one of our congregations as well as lead on evangelism across the whole church family. This includes the possibility of establishing a church plant or graft. You will work directly with our Vicar, Simon Dowdy, and as part of our senior staff team.

Salary: £37,440pa based on 45 hour week
6 weeks holiday
10% pension contribution

The appointment will be subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance.

The PCC of St Bart’s has previously passed the following resolution: ‘This PCC requests on grounds of a range of theological convictions within the congregation and the need to maintain congregational unity, that arrangements be made for it in accordance with the House of Bishops’ Declaration on the Ministry of Bishop and Priests.’
