"Life now is just a breath compared to eternal life. What would it be like if we lived as men of eternal perspective?"
Three talks from the book of Revelation.
1. Getting clear on eternity
2. Developing an eternal perspective
3. Liberated to live with purpose
Main talks from Robin Sydserff, afternoon seminars on a range of applied topics, hearty praise, the legendary 10ofThose bookstall and lots of opportunities for previous fellowship together as Christian men.
Afternoon Seminars:
1) Politics in light of eternity (Christian Concern) How should eternity shape our engagement in politics and society?
2) Heaven’s Glory, Hell's Terror! (James Morrison) A deeper dive into the theology of heaven and hell through the lens of Love’s classic book on the subject. This will be an interactive session with lots of discussion and application.
3) Sharing Christ in view of eternity - stories from abroad (Jon Bakula/Simon Dowland) Jon has recently returned to the U.K. following several years serving with OM in Israel. Come to hear stories of the Lord’s work in this part of the world and be encouraged to live your life for him in light of eternity.
4) Liberated to live liberated lives (Mentor Me) Sixty-one runs a range of practical projects aimed at helping people with a criminal conviction, including the successful MentorMe programme. These projects provide a safe way to support people who want to change their lives. Come to hear stories of the Lord’s work in liberating people to live truly liberated lives.
5) AI in eternal perspective (Aaron Scott) Love it or hate it, AI is here. But how should we think theologically about it? How does eternity shape how we live with AI today?
6) Q&A (Ian Lewis & Robin Sydserff) For those for whom the day already feels overloaded, why not join other attendees for a “fire-side chat” with Robin and Ian to reflect more deeply on what we’ve heard from the morning’s sessions.
