ThinkFor50 with Sam Bostock

ThinkFor50 is a new series from the South West Gospel Partnership where we get speakers from across the country to join us online to present interesting and punchy thoughts on theological and practical issues. 

On Wed 6th April at 12pm we will be joined by Sam Bostock to help us think about Preaching the Whole Counsel of God. Ministers of the gospel are called to preach nothing more than God's word and nothing less than God's word. But traditionally the whole counsel of God has been understood to not just be the written word but all that can be deduced from it by 'good and necessary consequence'. This session will look at the Biblical grounding for this conviction and consider how it fits with our desire in preaching to keep the main thing the main thing.

For these sessions, the speaker gets 25 mins to speak, followed by 25 mins of questions, so they're designed for you to drop into your lunch time whether you can join us for 25 mins or the full 50.

Sam was formerly Assistant Minister at Bloomfield Presbyterian Church in Belfast and is now a PhD student at Union Theological College.
