MTC Lite: Summer 2021 (Online)

MTC Lite Summer 2021 will take place on three Thursday evenings, 10th, 17th and 24th June. 

Each evening will involve a short exposition and then a main session. The expositions are on Philemon with Ian Lewis, and the main session is on Honest Struggles with Paul Mallard.

Paul says this about his main sessions:

"Christians love to wear masks. We pretend that we are okay, when we are struggling to follow Jesus faithfully. We suffer because we are human and we suffer because we are followers of a crucified Saviour. In these sessions we will be honest about our struggles with issues like disappointment and suffering. We will also be honest about the sufficiency of God's grace and will explore some of the blessings that buffetings bring. Where can we find help and how can we be a  help to others? Come and find out."

And Ian says this about the Philemon expositions:

"Paul’s short letter to Philemon raises many issues relevant to our lives and our times. Paul has some difficult and exciting things to say about the difference the Gospel makes to all our relationships.  Over the three weeks we’ll explore this letter in detail as it challenges our own attitudes, sets important principles for our lives and our culture, and deepens our walk with Jesus."

MTC Lite is an evening course of Bible teaching similar to the SWGP Ministry Training Course on Thursdays, but in a bite-sized chunk. It's perfect if you couldn't make a day a week or commit to a whole year of MTC.

Usually we run MTC Lite in various local areas in partnership with local SWGP churches. But this year, given the ongoing restrictions, we're taking the opportunity to offer MTC Lite online via Zoom.

The evening will run as follows:

8-8:30pm - Authentic Relationships: Philemon (Ian Lewis)

8:40-9:30pm - Honest Struggles (Paul Mallard)

There is a suggested donation of £20 for the course, but no mandatory charge.
